The Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) is authority for walkie talkie licence they are independent commission founded under the Bangladesh Telecommunication Act, 2001. The BTRC is responsible for regulating all matters related to telecommunications of Bangladesh. They provide Walkie Talkie Licence. Then BTRC officer will contact with you over phone or email. After that you need to go to BTRC Dhaka office for meeting respective spectrum officer. They will ask some normal questions and you must show your original documents that you submitted before . If they think you deserve the license they will provide a form for sign. After that BTRC issue a demand note against your company name to deposit set fee for the quantity you have applied.

After finish this procedure you will get final confirmation from BRTC for using Walki talkie legally. Every year you need renew you licence fee by 690 for each set.

This Licence for Short Range use. This call 2 way Radio. That means Handset to Handset Talking. No need Repeater, no need Outdoor Antenna.

BTRC issue 2 types Licence for 2 way Radio

1. Individual Frequency Licence for Govt., Semi-govt., Airlines etc.

It is one frequency for one channel. User can choose any Brand any Model Walkie-Talkie. Licence Fee Taka around 4,500.00 per set per year. (Licence fee depend on Output Power.)

2. SBR (Short Business Radio) frequency for Private Organization.

It is 80 Frequency for 80 Channels. User can choose any channel from 80 channels. But user must be using any color (without Black color) walkie-talkie set.
